WWE Raw takeaways: King/Queen of the Ring starts, Rollins-Breaker banger
WWE Raw on June 1, 2026, took place at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, and featured a singles match between Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins.
The first show following Clash In Italy took place in the same arena as the PLE, focusing on the fallout of the show while also marking the start of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. We also saw Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio pick up a tag win over Ethan Page and Rusev, and Sol Ruca took a victory lap after winning the women's Intercontinental Championship at the PLE. It all went down in front of a loud crowd in Italy.
Here’s the top takeaways from this week’s show:
Jacob Fatu acknowledges Roman Reigns
The time finally came for Jacob Fatu to officially acknowledge Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief. After losing to the champ at Clash, it was Fatu’s requirement to acknowledge Reigns, or be fired from the company.
Fatu joined Reigns and The Usos in the ring after the rowdy Italian crowd got off multiple chants. Fatu said he knew what would happen if he won or lost, but he’s been taking Ls his whole life, and is still in the position he’s in today. More importantly, his family and children saw him take a loss, and now they’ll see him keep his word.
After taking a quick jab at Jey, Fatu acknowledged Reigns and bent the knee.
Reigns said Fatu doesn’t understand it now, but he loves him. Jimmy then sent a warning to the rest of the lockerroom before they all raised their ones to the sky.
We’re officially in the next stage of The Bloodline saga. Fatu is clearly still uneasy about having to fall in line, which makes it interesting to see how this will all unfold in the weeks ahead. If they stand together, Reigns, Fatu and The Usos are an incredible force to be reckoned with. The first time around, Reigns called the shots. Recently, Reigns has said leading the group this time will be more of a collaborative effort, so we’ll see if that’s actually true and/or how long that might last.
King of the Ring Tournament begins
The first of four fatal four-way opening round matches of the King of the Ring Tournament served as the opening match of the night. It was Oba Femi vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Penta.
It was a pretty chaotic match in which the early focus was on taking out Femi, who entered with his arm taped up, selling damage from his match against Brock Lesnar at Clash. Femi was ganged up on, got sent over the barricade by Talla Tonga who was ringside, and none of it mattered. Eventually, Femi fired up, fought through it all, and won the match by hitting Sikoa with his finisher.

Femi advances, and will face the winner of Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest and Trick Williams. This was the right outcome. Sure, Femi could have been written to lose, considering the number of people involved in the match, but he also took seven F-5s from Lesnar, making his character damn near indestructible (Femi also sent a message to Lesnar on the mic about meeting for their rubber match). However, this was the best chance to make him lose and have it make sense. Going forward in the singles matches, how is anyone going to beat him?
Queen of the Ring Tournament begins
The first round of the Queen of the Ring Tournament began with a fatal four-way between IYO SKY, Lash Legend, Giulia and Roxanne Perez.
This match, while having the potential to be fantastic, just didn't seem to hit the same as the men's first match. Giulia was over with the Italian crowd, which was nice to hear. Legend's offense was met with near silence, but IYO SKY, who is undeniable anywhere, was of course loved. There were some good high points to this one, but the flow hit a couple of hiccups as well.
IYO SKY got the job done by hitting her moonsault finisher on Giulia, and now advances to take on the winner of Bayley vs. Kiana James vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Raquel Rodriguez. IYO SKY was the favorite to win this, and she came through. There's no complaints here, but one can't help but wonder which opening round match will have the curveball winner?
Seth Rollins beats Bron Breakker in a banger
The main event of this week's show was a singles showdown between Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins. The Vision storyline continued with this one, and it perhaps exceeded expectations for a Monday match.
Breakker and Rollins had plenty of time to work, and did a fantastic job of telling a story throughout the match. As they went back and forth, inside the ring and out, this match felt more special the longer it went on.
Eventually some outside influences made an impact, from Paul Heyman, Austin Theory and Montez Ford having a part in the match. Breakker's tag team title was introduced, which became the difference maker.
Rollins was able to get the belt around his waist as Breakker hit him with a spear, knocking himself out with his finishing move. Rollins then hit a stomp for good measure to get the win.
This felt like everyone agreed to leave Italy on the highest note possible. Everyone was fantastic here, and the callback to Goldberg spearing Bret Hart, who was wearing a steel plate around his midsection, was a nice finish. I'm not sure if that was the actual callback, but that was the moment that immediately came to mind. Regardless, Rollins gets a big win over his Vision rival, who now heads to the King of the Ring tourney. Surely Rollins isn't done with The Vision, and it will be interesting to see what happens next with him and the Street Profits' involvement.
