The BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) at the center of Criminal Minds: Evolution is always on the trail of the most sadistic criminals and murderers. Their hunt continues, but in the new season, they'll join forces with serial killer Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) as they try to capture his copycat, per TVLine.
The cast of Criminal Minds: Evolution consists of Joe Mantegna as David Rossi, A.J. Cook as Jennifer "JJ" Jareau, Aisha Tyler as Dr. Tara Lewis, Kirsten Vangsness as Penelope Garcia, Ryan-James (RJ) Hatanaka as Tyler Green, Adam Rodriguez as Luke Alvez and Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss.
In addition to returning stars, the new season — which debuted on May 28 — will also feature guest appearances from actors like Connor Storrie, Justin Kirk, Yvette Nicole Brown, Clark Gregg and more.

Season 19 of Criminal Minds: Evolution premiered on May 28.
Criminal Minds: Evolution is a revived version of Criminal Minds, the procedural that ran on CBS for 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020.
In 2021, it was announced that Criminal Minds would be returning with new episodes and a new home — moving from broadcast TV to streaming, per Deadline. The revival premiered the following year in November 2022.

According to a Paramount press release, there will be 10 episodes in season 19 of Criminal Minds: Evolution.
The upcoming episodes will have a gaggle of guest stars, including Storrie, who will appear in multiple episodes. The Heated Rivalry star was only supposed to appear in one episode, but the Criminal Minds: Evolution team was so impressed with him that they expanded it to four episodes.
"First of all, we met Connor in Episode 4 and it was directed by Adam Rodriguez and he read for us. And so we were like, 'Who's this guy? He's great. We love him,' " series showrunner Erica Messer recalled to TV Insider in May 2026. "And he was only supposed to be in Episode 4 and he was so good that we were like, 'No, he's going to have a bigger role than we thought.' "
