Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have spoken a little about their wedding plans in the last few months.

The couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26, 2025.

In March 2026, ESPN’s Nate Taylor reported on Kelce’s plans to marry Swift before the Chiefs’ training camp begins.

“Taylor and Travis have been in celebration mode ever since the engagement,” the insider said. “They are not in the wedding planning phase yet.”

In the months since, Kelce and Swift have touched a little on their thoughts around the ceremony, and sources have spoken as well about what they are thinking. Here, all we know so far about their plans.

Swift and Kelce will “take their time” before marrying.

On Aug. 31, 2025, a source close to the pair told Peoplethat they are in no hurry to have their wedding. “Right now they just want to enjoy being engaged, and they are going to take their time with it,” the insider said. “It has been a relief not having to keep it [their engagement] a secret anymore, and they are glad it is out in the open.”

They will not be having a big, public wedding.

A source told People on September 9 that the couple has decided against making their wedding public. “[They] want to keep it more private,” the insider said. “It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle. They both have a close circle of friends, and they’ll respect their privacy.”

The couple has already made a decision on wedding music.

During the Sept. 17, 2025 episode of New Heights, Kelce’s guest Jimmy Fallon asked about the couple’s planning so far. “Are you gonna do DJ or band? Are you thinking about all this stuff?” Fallon asked.

Kelce replied, “Yeah, I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?” The choice makes sense given Kelce organizes his Kelce Jam music festival and Swift is a performer by trade.

Swift has said she wants a destination wedding.

While promoting The Life of a Showgirl, Swift said she wanted to have a destination wedding, though she wouldn’t say where yet.

“You would think that I would’ve been the type of person who would've obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life,” she said. “But I actually never thought about what I would ever do… until I met the person.”

Kelce said wedding planning with Swift will be easier than playing football.

During his September 17 episode, Kelce told guest Jimmy Fallon that wedding planning was the “next step” for him and Swift. He expressed optimism that the process would not be difficult with his partner.

“That one’s gonna be easy,” he said. “I just gotta figure out how to win a football game first.” At that point, Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, had lost their first two games of the season.

Kelce quipped, “The wedding will be easy compared to how to fucking catch a goddamn football.”

Kelce is reportedly planning to marry Swift before the Chiefs’ training camp begins.

In March 2026, ESPN’s Nate Taylor shared new insight on Kelce and Swift’s wedding timeline after the tight end signed again with the Chiefs, revealing that Kelce “plans to marry [Swift] before training camp,” which starts on July 22.

The event coordinator with a June 13 wedding at Rhode Island’s Ocean House shut down rumors about the couple’s date and venue.

After multiple outlets sparked rumors that Swift and Kelce were planning a June 13 wedding at Watch Hill, Rhode Island’s Ocean House resort, the event coordinator for the wedding scheduled there that day, Tara Guérard, commented on Wedding Chicks’ Instagram about the reports—and confirmed Swift is not her client.

“I am the wedding planner for June 13th at the Ocean House in Rhode Island! Sorry to let you all know, Taylor is not my bride this weekend! Boo! Kindest, @taraguerard,” she wrote.

In December, a source gave People an update on the couple’s nuptials, saying, “When it comes to wedding planning, nothing feels rushed or one-sided. They’re both equally involved and excited, and this isn’t something one or the other is carrying on their own. They’re approaching it as a partnership, talking things through together, and enjoying the process in a way that feels natural to them."

Ed Sheeran hasn’t received a save-the-date from the couple as of September 2025.

On a September 25 interview for SiriusXM’s Small Stage Series, host Andy Cohen asked Swift’s longtime friend Ed Sheeran if he has gotten a save-the-date for her and Kelce’s wedding. Sheeran said no and also revealed he learned about their engagement on Instagram with the rest of the world.

But Sheeran may be performing at the reception.

During her Hits Radio interview released Oct. 3, 2025, Swift insinuated that Sheeran would take the stage at some point during her nuptials.

“It’s like, ‘Ed, if there’s a stage, you know that you’ll be on it,’” she joked. “He knows what people want and he wants to give people what they want.”

She added, “That’s the fun thing about our friendship is we both love performing. We love what we do. We love to get up on stage. It’s actually not that hard to talk either of us into performing at anything.”

She then seemed to allude to seeing him at Selena Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco on the last weekend of September 2025.

“I saw him last weekend, actually, at a wedding of our one of our best friends,” she shared. “And we were just talking about how much we love when he came out on stage with me at Wembley.”

They may have set a date.

In February 2026, television host Graham Norton inadvertently set off a firestorm on X when he referred to Swift and her wedding.

“So exciting that @taylorswift13 has a date for her wedding now!” The Graham Norton Showwrote on Friday, February 27, with a “The GN Show” hashtag. It wasn’t clear if he was talking about her actual wedding or making another kind of reference.
