Jonah Hill shared his "favorite memory" of Rihanna for the singer's new W Magazine cover story

The actor claimed that once on his birthday, his friend "pooped her pants" after smoking Rihanna's weed

The alleged incident occurred shortly after Hill and Rihanna filmed the 2013 comedy This Is the End

Jonah Hill once got an unexpected birthday gift from Rihanna.

The musician and beauty mogul, 38, graced the cover of W Magazine’s Pop Issue, along with her baby daughter Rocki Irish in the little one's magazine debut. Several stars shared insight about Rihanna for the cover story, which was published digitally Tuesday, April 21 — including Hill, 42, who had an unusual tale to tell.

Asked to share his “favorite memory” of the Anti musician, Hill recalled running into her just after he and the singer filmed their 2013 movie This Is the End — and how the interaction took an unexpected turn for a friend of his.

“After we shot This Is the End, I ran into her at a bar, and it was my birthday,” Hill recalled to W Magazine. “She had a joint and was generous enough to share with my friends, and one of my friends got so stoned that she pooped her pants.”

“Rihanna has that ‘make your friends s--- their pants’ weed,” added the actor.

The Fenty Beauty founder starred as a fictionalized version of herself in the star-studded 2013 comedy about celebrities who get stuck in James Franco's house during the apocalypse. Michael Cera, who also played himself in This Is the End, previously opened up about what it was like working on the movie together.

In the film, Cera, 37, portrayed a rude, cocaine-addicted version of himself who makes several enemies, including the “Umbrella” singer. During a house party at the beginning of the movie, his character slaps the musician on the butt, and she retaliates with a memorable slap to his face — which was real, Cera later revealed.

While breaking down the role for a GQ video interview in 2023, the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World star said, “Yeah, I mean she definitely hit me. But I really… I wanted that, you know?"

"I mean, I think it's a lot funnier and a lot more convincing," he said of the stars’ scene together, adding that "a fake slap just doesn't look good.”

Rihanna did not hold back, hitting Cera "hard," the actor told GQ. “She really sent me flying, and it was great," he added at the time. “And now it's on film forever, this pain that I experienced."

After starring as herself alongside Hill and Cera in This Is the End — which hit theaters shortly after her big-screen debut in 2012's Battleship — Rihanna went on to have a fruitful on-screen career. She joined the fierce female cast of 2018's Ocean's 8 and appeared in 2014's Annie, among other projects. The nine-time Grammy winner also lent her voice to 2015's animated film Home and, more recently, 2025’s Smurfs.

In addition to Hill, several of her former costars shared insight about working with the star in her W Magazine cover story, including her castmate in 2019’s Guava Island, Donald Glover, who said, “She came in very relaxed and malleable. She’d read and memorized everything already, but asked a lot of questions on what her character was looking for.”

“It was cool to see her dive into it with no real fear of vulnerability. She just came in ready to play, which was really refreshing,” added Glover, 42.

Rihanna’s Ocean’s 8 castmate, Sarah Paulson, meanwhile, recalled thinking that the singer "was the single most electrifying creature I’d ever laid eyes on.”

“She seemed reserved, and that surprised me,” Paulson, 51, told the magazine. “She hadn’t done a ton of acting at this point, so I was struck by how much listening and watching she was doing. She was taking it all in, like a wise person.”

Along with her youngest child and co-cover star Rocki, Rihanna and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, are also parents to two sons: RZA, 3½, and Riot, 2½.
