Prince Harry is coming off of a big week, and it appears he fixed a problem by creating a problem, suggests one royal writer.
There was a lot of back and forth about whether or not Harry's wife and two children would be joining him in the U.K., and in the end, they were able to pull it off. The entire Sussex family met with King Charles at Highgrove on Friday, and now that the dust has settled, it may leave Harry missing home.
From Berkshire to Buckingham's Jane Barr suggests Harry is now pining for his old life.

"This must have been very emotional for Harry, who is obviously desperate to return to his old life," wrote Barr in her Substack.
"He was raised at Highgrove, after all. I bet this whole trip makes him more angsty than ever," she added.

It was finally decided that Meghan, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, would be joining the Duke in London, and while it was very last-minute, King Charles made himself available.
Barr went over what that must have been like for the monarch and how he handled such a high-stakes situation.
"He invited them to his sanctum, but it also is not a flashy palace or even one of the super exclusive private residences that carry special mystique, like Balmoral," she explained.

In terms of Harry and Charles, it seemed like they were both happy with how things fell into place, but when it came to Meghan, Barr suggests that wasn't the case, that the Duchess may have been disappointed because she lost some bragging rights.
"Meghan can't be easy breezy about how great it was to visit Balmoral this summer," wrote Barr.
And while it may not be as grandiose as Buckingham Palace, Highgrove is nothing to sneeze at, and it comes with its perks, like privacy, which has always been a top priority for Meghan.
"Highgrove is private and tucked away, allowing Charles to meet the Sussexes without any paparazzi shots, and it is as down-to-earth as possible while also a home to a sitting monarch."

From the outside looking in, it seems the family portion of the visit was a success, but it creates more questions than it does answers, which is what makes royal watching so interesting.
There's no way to know where they go from here, but Harry is most likely enjoying the moment, taking it for what it is, that his children were able to spend time with their grandad.
And in terms of what comes next, you can look forward to seeing Harry on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast this coming Monday, July 13; possibly the Duke will drop some hints as to what went down at Highgrove and what to look forward to in the near future.
