ZURICH, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Swiss private equity heavyweight Partners Group reported a net half-year profit of 502 million Swiss francs ($620 million) on Tuesday, down 13% year-on-year, following turmoil around its open-ended funds that hit shares.

The company also announced that CEO David Layton will step down from the executive team as of January 1, 2027, and be replaced by Roberto Cagnati and Juri Jenkner as co-CEOs, who have both been with the company since 2004.

The company in July beat expectations for new client demand in the first half, but warned withdrawals from some of its mature evergreen funds are likely to continue after it capped redemptions in June.
