Despite a groin injury that kept him out of Wednesday's practice, Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon will play against the Dallas Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 6.
Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed on Friday that Nixon will be available against Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
"He will play," LaFleur said. "I asked him on Wednesday, because he doesn't miss too many practices, and he looked at me and said, 'How many games have I missed since I've been here?' So, he's wired the right way. He loves to compete."
Nixon missed Wednesday's practice after LaFleur said he "felt something" in his groin. But after a day off, Nixon will now practice on back-to-back days, and, barring a setback, he will play in his 74th consecutive regular season game since joining the Packers in 2022.
A starter on the perimeter, Nixon has been the Packers' most consistent corner to start 2026.

"I think he's played pretty well," LaFleur said. "I think we have a great challenge ahead of us, in terms of the two wideouts on the perimeter, and Dak, but he had a good day of practice yesterday and I'm excited for those guys."
According to Next Gen Stats, Nixon has allowed 21 catches on 32 targets as the nearest defender in coverage, but quarterbacks haven't thrown a touchdown pass and have a passer rating of 72.1 when targeting him. Nixon is about to face Lamb and Pickens, who have combined for 862 receiving yards in five games and are one of the NFL's top receiver duos.
Carrington Valentine and Benjamin St-Juste are the top backups at corner, but St-Juste is dealing with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to play.
LaFleur did say he expected defensive lineman Jonathan Ford isn't expected to practice Friday and probably won't play Sunday.
