Maya Rudolph joined her long-term partner, Paul Thomas Anderson, on the red carpet for the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday. Anderson’s action-thriller One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Teyana Taylor, is nominated for 13 Oscars this year, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. While the couple maintain a relatively low-profile, the Loot star has been out on the awards circuit this season supporting her partner.
After a trip to the Golden Globes in Chanel, Rudolph arrived at the Dolby Theater in a black silk crepe dress by Chanel with black chiffon ruffle layers embroidered with crystals, beads, malachite beads, and feathers. She completed the look with Chanel High Jewelry, including the Diamant Évanescent ring in 18-karat white gold and diamonds, the Plume 1932 ring in white gold and diamonds, and the Tweed Frangé earrings in 18-karat white gold and diamonds. Anderson, who did not appear on the red carpet, was dressed by Giorgio Armani.

Rudolph and Anderson have been in a committed relationship since 2001. Although they are not legally married, they often refer to each other as husband and wife in interviews. Rudolph told Town & Country in 2024 that she and Anderson were introduced at a Saturday Night Live afterparty after he had come specifically to meet her. The couple now share four children: three daughters named Pearl, Lucille, and Minnie, and one son named Jack.

The Bridesmaids actress has appeared in a few of Anderson's films, including Inherent Vice (2014) and Licorice Pizza (2021). The 2017 film Phantom Thread, directed by Anderson and starring Daniel Day-Lewis as a 1950s fashion designer, was also partly inspired by an experience he had with Rudolph when he was ill.
Rudolph most recently appeared in the third season of Loot on Apple TV+. In the series, the former SNL performer plays Molly Novak, a newly divorced billionaire who tries to rebuild her life by getting involved with the charitable foundation tied to her $87 billion divorce settlement.

“I like working, but I don’t like killing myself. I used to not have a choice, and so I did it, because that’s what you did. You exhausted yourself. You ended up in bed, comatose, because you left it all on the dance floor or whatever,” Rudolph told T&C. “But when you’re taking care of children, that’s not really an option.”
