A representative of Margat Qualley’s has spoken out in the wake of news that she and husband Jack Antonoff separated.
News broke on July 8 that Qualley, 31, and Antonoff, 42, had separated following three years of marriage. However, a representative for the Hollywood actress shared a statement with People on July 10, correcting the “narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack [that] are “categorically untrue.”
The statement continues, revealing that there are “no trust issues” and that there was “no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship.” The news from Qualley’s team comes after Antonoff was spotted looking uneasy at Taylor Swift’s high-profile wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3, which he attended without Qualley.

“They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them,” reads the remainder of the statement, “Please respect their privacy.”
Qualley and Antonoff were first spotted together in 2021 on a date in Brooklyn. Antonoff revealed that the two met at a party. They got engaged in May 2022 and married the following summer. Their wedding took place in New Jersey and was attended by the likes of long-time friends and collaborators like Swift, Channing Tatum and Lana Del Rey.

Fans became suspicious that something was up with Qualley and Antonoff’s union when he attended Swift’s wedding without her last week. Eagle-eyed observers also noted that Qualley had taken down photos from the pair’s wedding from her Instagram account. She also changed her handle, previously a reference to a song by Antonoff’s band, Bleachers, to just her name: @sarahmargaretqualley23.
The pair previously gushed about each other in the press.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar ahead of her wedding to Antonoff, Qualley said, “I am so happy that I found my person. And it’s real. It’s amazing. It’s the best feeling in the world. I’m so excited and so at ease all at once.”

Qualley inspired the Bleachers song “dirty wedding dress” as well as Lana Del Rey’s “Margaret.”
Del Rey has praised Qualley and Antonoff’s relationship even citing it as a reason for her marriage.
“I saw the way he looked at her when he met her, and he's a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband,” said the Born to Die singer. She described the pair as an “example.”
Antonoff is on tour with Bleachers on the band’s Bleachers Forever Tour through early October in support of their latest album, everyone for ten minutes. Qualley, meanwhile, is working on the upcoming remake of Possession.
