A source close to Leonardo DiCaprio tells PEOPLE that his relationship with model Vittoria Ceretti "does feel different and more serious" after the couple attended the 2026 Oscars together

Leonardo DiCaprio seems to see a long-term path ahead with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti after they attended the 2026 Oscars together, as a source close to the actor tells PEOPLE.
DiCaprio, 51, stepped out with model Ceretti, 27, for a rare public date night at the 98th Academy Awards, where DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in One Battle After Another. While the couple did not pose together on the red carpet, their appearance at the Oscars marked the couple's first major awards show appearance since they first began dating in 2023.
"This relationship with Vittoria does feel different and more serious. He genuinely cares for her," the source says of DiCaprio and Ceretti. "They may not be ready to get married, but for the first time Leo is open to a serious future."
"Vittoria also has her own life and she’s very independent, which is appealing to him, especially when he’s away for filming and has long days on set," they add, noting that DiCaprio "is much more openly affectionate with Vittoria than his friends have ever seen him be with any other girlfriends."

DiCaprio and Ceretti have been connected romantically since August 2023, when they were photographed strolling around Santa Barbara, Calif., while enjoying iced coffees and ice cream cones in photos obtained by Page Six, at that time. "She is very cute, sweet and charming. Leo seems to really like her," a source told PEOPLE in April 2024 of DiCaprio and Ceretti's then-budding romance at the time.

DiCaprio and Ceretti were last seen spending time together in September 2025, when she attended One Battle After Another's Los Angeles premiere and traveled with DiCaprio to New York City during his press tour for the movie.

While DiCaprio did not win Best Actor — Michael B. Jordan won that award for his performance in Sinners — One Battle After Another took home six awards, including Best Picture, as the night's top winner.
DiCaprio will next appear on the big screen in his next movie with longtime collaborator Martin Scorsese, titled What Happens at Night. The film will follow a married American couple who travel to a small, snowy European town to adopt a baby. After checking into a creepy hotel, mysteries begin to unravel.
Filming on the movie, which he stars in with Jennifer Lawrence, is already underway.
