Karlie Kloss attended the star-studded Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17.

The supermodel turned heads on the red carpet in a strappy black satin evening gown with surprising fur detailing along the hips.

Kloss completed the striking ensemble with a diamond necklace and pointed-toe heels.

Karlie Kloss shone from head to toe as she walked down the red carpet at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17. As several celebrities stepped forward in their best black-tie attire—including several eye-catching black ensembles—Kloss turned heads in a monochrome look with an unexpected detail.

For the star-studded event, Kloss arrived in a black satin Alaïa gown with a striking, faux-fur panel along the waist. The hip-grazing accent piece was embellished with fuzzy appliquées and seemed to double as a pseudo pocket as Kloss tucked her hand behind the loose leather waistband.

Encircling the entire design, the furry hip accents added volume to the otherwise fitted silhouette. The sleeveless dress also featured a square neckline held up by two thin straps and a floor-length skirt with a subtle flare along the hem.

Kloss’s stylist, Natasha Colvin, accessorized the elegant eveningwear look with black pointed-toe heels and Cartier jewelry, including a layered diamond necklace and diamond stud earrings. The necklace boasted a geometric design arranged across three strings of pavé diamonds.

For her glam, Kloss opted to style her long brown hair in a low ponytail with face-framing pieces. She finished the look with a pink lip, matching blush, black eyeliner, bold mascara, and brushed-up eyebrows.

Kloss’s Academy Museum Gala appearance comes just a few months after the model attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3. The day of the couple’s high-profile wedding, Kloss was spotted in New York City with her husband Joshua Kushner. On her way to see the “You Belong With Me” singer, Kloss donned a liquid gold evening gown with a strapless design, which she paired with strappy stiletto heels and a matching gold clutch.
