No one makes it out of Jackass unscathed.
Johnny Knoxville has revealed that his costar Dave England suffered a brutal finger injury while filming a stunt for their upcoming movie, Jackass 5.
"I just got word today about an injury,” Knoxville told host Jimmy Fallon while visiting The Tonight Show on Thursday. "I'm sorry to report Dave England… ripped the tendon off the bone of his middle finger, and it coiled at the base, by sticking it up Zach [Holmes'] butt. Can you say that on your show?”

Fallon, in response, simply covered his face with his hands and remarked, "Oh my God."
But Knoxville wasn't done. "He was trying to retrieve a coin and it was way up in there," he continued. "And I'm not even joking, he has to have surgery."
The stuntman and Fallon then dissolved into giggles.
When Fallon asked if that was an outcome Knoxville would ever imagine happening, he replied, "No, because there's so many soft corners! It's like… I don't know how he did it."

The Fear Factor host also noted that he'd shown a picture of England's injury to Fallon backstage. "I can't unsee that," Fallon said. "But I didn't know what I was looking at. That's insane.”
Perhaps worrying about leaving anyone out, England posted an image of the injury on his Instagram Story. The snapshot showed his bruised middle finger with a large lump at the bottom, which is, presumably, the remains of his coiled-up tendon.

The stuntman also shed light on his upcoming surgery and subsequent recovery process in a separate Instagram post.
"The surgeon will open my entire finger up and screw a metal anchor to my fingertip and stretch the tendon back up to it. 12 weeks of recovery after," England wrote. "Beware of @zackass' treacherous b-hole!"

Last month, Knoxville confirmed that Jackass 5 will be the fifth and final film in the Jackass franchise. "This is the natural place to end," he told Rolling Stone. "So it's going to be absolutely awful."
Knoxville recently acknowledged that he can no longer perform certain stunts out of concern for his health. "I can't do anything where I can get another concussion," he told Syndicate X Library in January, noting that he's "way over" his quota for concussions.
"I don't care about anything else," he said. "I just can't get hit in the head anymore."
Knoxville sustained a serious injury while riding a bull for a stunt depicted in 2022's Jackass Forever. The incident left him with a brain hemorrhage, a concussion, and a broken wrist and rib.
He has suffered many more injuries — including an orbital blowout fracture — during his time filming the wildly popular franchise, which he kicked off in 2000.
Jackass 5 crashes into theaters on June 26. Watch Knoxville discuss England's unfortunate injury in the clip above.
