Cheryl Hines is hitting back at Chelsea Handler's claims that the Curb Your Enthusiasm star and her husband, Robert, F. Kennedy Jr., sold her a "toxic" home five years ago.
In an exclusive preview from PEOPLE of her appearance on the Tomi Lahren is Fearless podcast, Hines says she is questioning "the timing" of Handler's allegation, which the comedian made during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new "High and Mighty" comedy tour.
"She bought this house five years ago and she's just now complaining about it, which is also, I don't know that she's getting a lot of sympathy from people. She's buying a $6 million house," Hines told Lahren.

The Flight Attendant actress said Handler's claims that she "feels duped" over Hines and RFJ Jr. selling her a "toxic" house "doesn't really hold water," adding that she even told Handler to reach out if any issues occurred after moving in."I did write her a personal note when she moved in, just saying how much we love the house. And I hope that she has a beautiful life in this house. And if you need anything, call me. And I left my number," Hines said. "So I don't know if we were trying to unload a toxic house on her. I wouldn't have left my number."
Hines said she ultimately feels Handler is "just trying to get attention" while also getting some digs on her husband, RFK Jr.
Hines' full interview arrives on OutKick.com on Thursday, March 26 at 5 p.m. ET.

On March 17, Handler discussed "unknowingly" moving into a home formerly owned by RFK Jr. during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "I know that is laughable. You can laugh at me," Handler said to the audience.
"I didn't know I was buying it from RFK Jr. because it was a blind trust and the house feels like I bought it from RFK Jr.," Handler shared, noting it took her four years to move in due to there being "a lot of problems" with the home.
"I have chlamydia, measles, and herpes," the former Chelsea Lately host quipped of issues she's had since moving in, attributing those as RFK Jr.'s fault as well.

Handler also criticized the home on a recent episode of her Dear Chelsea podcast. Referencing RFK Jr.'s current role as the secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Handler said, "The idea that this guy is in charge of the health of our country when he didn't even have a proper foundation at his house?"
Despite purchasing the couple’s Los Angeles home in 2021, Handler says she couldn't move in for years due to it being "a disaster.""When they opened up the house, they were like, 'This house is the most toxic environment. You cannot live here for at least two years,'" Handler said. "I'm not exaggerating any of this. It was a disaster, and I didn't know it going in because everything was under wraps."
