Attention, ARMY: BTS is back!
The K-pop group kicked off 2026 by announcing a new album, their first since the anthology, Proof, in June 2022.
Now, BTS — featuring RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — is marking their latest chapter by hitting the road with a world tour that will reach nearly every corner of the globe.
On Jan. 13, the tour dates for BTS' upcoming tour were revealed, which will have the "Butter" band performing everywhere from the United States to Japan and Spain.
The concerts will be the group's first together since their Permission to Dance on Stage shows in 2021 and 2022. It will also symbolize the band's reunion after completing their mandatory military services.
So, with the recent announcements, here's everything to know about BTS' 2026 album and world tour.
When will the new BTS album be released?

BTS' new album will drop on March 20 at 1 p.m. KST (March 19 at 11 p.m. ET), according to their official fan platform.
The date was confirmed in handwritten notes the BTS members sent to select members of their fan club, BTS ARMY, in December 2025.
The upcoming album can be pre-ordered starting on Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. KST (Jan. 15 at 11 p.m. ET).
It will be the band's first since the anthology release Proof in 2022. Afterward, the group took an extended hiatus to fulfill their required military service in the Republic of Korea Armed Forces.
During a livestream in July 2025, BTS teased new music was coming, saying, “Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas."
"We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started," they added.
The impending release will be their first joint album since 2022, but all of the group's members have debuted at least one solo album since then.

BTS' new album — the group's fifth — will have 14 tracks, per their official fan platform.
"Featuring 14 tracks, the album is packed with honest stories that BTS wants to share with ARMY, who have been waiting for their pm comeback as a whole group," a press release read.
It continued, "Filled with the music that’s most true to BTS, the album is their heartfelt way of saying thank you to ARMY, who have been there this whole time."

Yes, BTS is embarking on a world tour in 2026. The highly anticipated series of concerts start on April 9 in South Korea. The tour will then head to Japan on April 17, before making its way to the United States on April 25.
This will be BTS' first headline performances as a group since their Permission to Dance on Stage shows in 2021 and 2022.
According to the tour announcement, the live events will feature "a 360-degree, in-the-round stage design, creating an immersive setup that places the audience at the center of the experience while allowing for increased capacity at every venue."
