Brad Pitt is said to be determined to do "everything in his power" to reconnect with his six estranged children.
Sources have claimed the actor views his ex-wife Angelina Jolie's upcoming plans to move abroad as a fresh opportunity for reconciliation.
However, despite his optimism, the 62-year-old actor faces a new hurdle, as insiders recently revealed the children have entirely changed their contact information to avoid direct reach.
Brad shares six children with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
Several of the children have reached adulthood and have dropped their father's surname.
In July 2024, a source told People that Brad had "virtually no contact" with his adult children, adding that their mother "has the kids most of the time, but per their agreement, he has visitation with the younger kids."

Angelina has revealed her plans to leave the US and adopt a more nomadic lifestyle abroad.
Her long-held goal of leaving Los Angeles became legally possible on July 12, 2026, when her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turned 18.
This milestone officially marked the conclusion of her strict custody arrangement with her ex-husband, which had legally required her to maintain a home base in California for nearly a decade.

Sources have claimed that Brad considers Angelina's move as an opportunity to reconnect with their children.
"Angie now intends to live out of the States more and Brad's hearing it doesn't appear any of them plan to relocate with their mother," a source close to the actor told the Daily Mail.
They added, "That could serve as an opportunity to try to get at least some of them back in his life.
"As unlikely as that sounds, he's going to give it his best shot. It's definitely a case of when the cat's away the mice will play for Brad."

Currently, Shiloh, Maddox, and Zahara have legally dropped their father's last name, with Vivienne waiting for the name change's legal hearing.
Knox has not legally changed his name, but he did omit "Pitt" from his moniker at his high school graduation, instead going by "Knox Jolie."
Pax has also historically distanced himself from the surname and virtually cut ties with his father.

Though the pair initially denied romance rumors, they later acknowledged falling in love on set.

The couple created a large family that included adopted children Maddox, Zahara, and Pax, as well as biological children Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.

On September 14, 2016, during a flight from Nice to Los Angeles, a severe altercation allegedly took place between Brad, who was reportedly intoxicated, Angelina, and their kids.
While Brad has consistently denied the allegations and federal authorities ultimately declined to file criminal charges, detailed accounts emerged from obtained FBI investigation documents and later court filings.
After the incident, Angelina filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting physical custody of their six children.
What followed was a lengthy, complex legal battle spanning custody disputes, property divisions and investigations.
The former couple officially reached a final divorce settlement by late 2024.
